I put this together piece by piece over the last couple of days. Perhaps it should be considered a remix of Daft Punk’s “One More Time”—but because Sleigh Bells sampled the hell out of Funkadelic’s “Can You Get to That” and didn’t pay ode to the group in their track “Rill Rill”, I feel like I can get away with it in this one (especially because I ain’t makin’ money off it and didn’t use the entire vocal track).

I’m a skeptic when it comes to remixing/sampling Daft Punk; a no name producer messing with that kind of genius is similar to a high school art student redrawing the “Mona Lisa” with Crayola crayons and putting it on display in the local art museum. It’s a recipe for straight up offending some peeps. There has been the occasional success story: Algeronics did it with “Digital Love”. Let’s not bring Kanye into this. Needless to say, I took extreme care. Perhaps you die hard DP fans will still hate me for tampering with such a gem. But for those of you who can get past that and appreciate the track as its own entity, I salute you.
